Move to a safe area
To prevent secondary accidents, please move yourself, the other party involved, the scooter/bicycle, and the vehicle off the road.
Check for injuries and request medical assistance
Call 119 and follow their emergency instructions.
Document the scene records
Please take photos or videos of the accident location, device condition, damaged areas, and surrounding environment.
Exchange information
Please obtain names, contact information, and (in the case of a vehicle accident) vehicle numbers.
[If necessary] Report to the police
Please report if there are any injuries or potential disputes.
*If you incur costs for hospital treatment or repairs, please keep the receipts for proof.
Applying for compensation

Contact GCOO Care Support
Please press the 'Call GCOO Care Support’ button at the bottom of the screen. We will guide you on the necessary documents based on the situation.

Prepare documents
Please prepare the following documents in advance.

A screenshot of the ride history during the accident
(capture the relevant details from ‘Ride History')
•
Contact information of the other parties involved
•
Any other documents requested through the GCOO Care Support (hospital diagnosis, medical expense receipts, repair estimates, etc.)

In case of partial compensation for helmet penalty
When insurance coverage is limited
•
In cases of violations of traffic laws such as riding without a license, drunk driving, riding with more than one person, running a red light, or crossing at pedestrian crossings
(except for cases where riding on the sidewalk is unavoidable while riding)
•
If the service was used under someone else's name
•
In cases of mobile phone damage occurring while using a phone holder
•
If you tripped over a device that was already down
(excluding visually impaired individuals; if the device fell on its own, please secure evidence such as dashcam footage confirming that the device fell on its own)
•
In cases of riding in countries outside of Korea
Other information
•
Device defects are not judged based on the condition or performance of new products. Even if some parts have degraded performance, if basic functions such as driving, steering, and braking are operational, it is not recognized as a device defect.
•
User's medical expenses will be compensated up to 1 million won for amounts exceeding 300,000 won.
•
Accidents caused by user negligence will incur a personal liability of 500,000 to 1,500,000 won depending on the GCOO Care plan you selected.
•
Treatment cost compensation covers the actual expenses incurred (after health insurance is applied, if applicable).
